Camrose, built on relationships, and shaped by the people who walk through our doors every day.
The Vision
At Overtime Taphouse, this isn’t just a business — it’s a dream that started at 14 years old.
Our owner, DJ, told his parents as a teenager that one day he would own a sports bar.
While the journey took dedication, grit, and years of hands-on experience, he opened his
first location in Camrose in 2010 — creating jobs, supporting local families, and investing
in the local economy from day one.
Over the next decade, he built and expanded, gaining valuable experience and insight.
But success meant nothing without home.
After ten years of growth, DJ made the decision to focus entirely on Camrose — the
community that shaped him. On December 31, 2020, he completed his franchise chapter
and chose to build something independently, something that truly reflected his values
and the needs of this community.
In January 2021, Overtime Taphouse was born — created by DJ with the help of his team.
Not a corporate concept.
Not a cookie-cutter brand.
But a locally built, community-driven sports bar designed to reflect who we really are —
people who listen, adapt, and grow alongside our guests.
Rooted in Camrose
Overtime isn’t just located here — we’re invested here.
Our owner proudly serves on several local boards and associations, ensuring the voices
of small businesses in Camrose are heard. He is actively involved in minor hockey and
community sports, supporting youth development and the teams that bring our city together.
Supporting local sports teams is a huge part of who we are. We host pub nights, team
fundraisers, tournament gatherings, and charitable events — blending our OT flair with
opportunities to give back.
We’ve streamlined booking services for sports teams and private groups to make organizing
events easy, and we proudly support local tournaments throughout the year.
Each year, we also host an annual golf tournament in support of the Camrose Women's Shelter —
an initiative that reflects our commitment to giving back and standing behind important causes
in our community.
